Without a backing board, the neon lettering is fixed straight onto the wall, so you see only the glowing lines. It suits large wall logos, feature walls and spaces where a board would look bulky.
Each letter or section is held with small clear clips or a fine mounting track, and the wiring is kept as neat as possible between sections. This style needs a smooth, solid wall and careful planning of where the power enters, so we look at photos of the wall before quoting.
Because there is no board to protect it, this option is best indoors or in well-sheltered areas.
Where it works well
- Large logo feature walls
- Restaurant and bar interiors
- Retail and showroom displays
- Office and co-working spaces
- Hospitality and venue décor
Materials and finishes
- Flexible LED neon tube
- Clear mounting clips or fine aluminium mounting track
- Low-voltage power supply
- Template for positioning on the wall
Lighting options
- Illuminated by the LED neon. Wiring between letters is planned so it stays as discreet as possible.
What affects the price
- Price depends on the overall size, the total length of neon tube, the number of separate sections to wire and fix, and the number of colours. A formal quotation confirms the price.
Supplying measurements
Send a photo of the wall with a measuring tape in view, the wall finish and the position of the nearest plug point.
Artwork requirements
A vector logo gives the best result. Confirm the exact wording and the size you want on the wall.
Survey and installation
Neon signs are made in our workshop and supplied ready to hang or mount. Installation is quoted separately where we offer it; for orders outside South Africa we supply and deliver, and the sign is fitted locally. Mains-powered signs should be connected by a qualified electrician.
Maintenance
Dust gently with a soft dry cloth with the power off. Avoid knocking the tube, as there is no board to protect it.
