Directional arrow signs depend on clear print and strong contrast. We print arrow signs on rigid boards with reflective vinyl options for night use. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe produces them singly or as a full site set.
Directional arrow signs point people or vehicles towards a destination: reception, deliveries, a specific building, an exit or a parking area. They are the simplest part of a wayfinding system, combining an arrow with a short destination name, and can be wall-mounted, post-mounted, suspended from ceilings or applied to floors.
A good arrow sign is placed exactly at the point where a decision has to be made, uses consistent arrow styles and wording across the site, and says no more than needed. It differs from a full directory or map sign by carrying only one or a few destinations, so it can be read at a glance while walking or driving.

Supplying measurements
List the destinations and walk the route, taking photos at each junction where someone might hesitate. Note whether each sign is for pedestrians or drivers, and whether it will be on a wall, post or ceiling.
Artwork requirements
Send the destination names, any arrow or pictogram style already used on site, and your logo as vector artwork if it is to appear. If you have no existing system, we can set up a simple consistent layout for all the signs.
Survey and installation
Post-mounted signs may need posts concreted in, while wall and ceiling signs need suitable fixings for the surface. A walk-through or site survey helps make sure arrows point correctly from where people actually approach.
Maintenance
Wipe signs clean periodically and check that none have been knocked or turned so the arrow points the wrong way. Replace signs promptly when a destination moves.
Frequently asked questions
How many arrow signs does a site need?
One at each point where a visitor has to choose a direction; walking the route with us or sending photos of each junction helps work this out.
Can arrows be changed later?
Modular panels or reversible designs can be updated when layouts change.
Should vehicle signs be reflective?
For routes used at night, retroreflective vinyl helps the signs show up in headlights.
