Temporary traffic signs are printed on light, durable boards that can be moved between sites. We supply printed signs with stands or bases for road works and events. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe can reprint messages as projects change.
Temporary traffic signs manage road users around roadworks, construction sites, events and emergencies: road works ahead, detours, lane closures, reduced speed, flagman ahead and stop-go signs. They use the same recognisable shapes and colours as permanent signs but are built to be moved, mounted on portable stands, A-frames, weighted bases or temporary posts.
A good temporary sign is clearly reflective, stable in wind, quick to set up and robust enough to be handled repeatedly. Unlike permanent road signs, temporary signs must be easy to transport and store, and they form part of a traffic accommodation plan that determines which signs go where and in what order for the specific works.

Supplying measurements
Tell us the signs you need, quantities, the road speed and how long they will be in use. If you have a traffic accommodation plan or sign schedule from your engineer, send that and we can quote directly from it.
Artwork requirements
Standard temporary signs follow set layouts, so no artwork is needed. Project-specific detour or information boards can be laid out from your wording, with a proof before production.
Survey and installation
Temporary signs are normally set out by the contractor according to the traffic accommodation plan. We can supply signs, stands and bases ready for use; setting out on public roads remains the contractor's responsibility under the plan.
Maintenance
Clean signs between jobs and store them flat or upright so faces do not scratch. Replace signs with damaged or faded sheeting before they go back on the road.
Frequently asked questions
Can you supply a full set for our roadworks?
Yes, send the sign schedule or traffic accommodation plan and we quote the full set with stands and bases.
Are Correx temporary signs acceptable?
They can suit short-term, low-speed private use, but rigid reflective signs are better for public roads and longer projects.
Do you hire out signs?
Please ask; supply for purchase is the standard option, and other arrangements depend on the job.
