Die-cut stickers are printed and cut individually to the shape of your design. We produce die-cut stickers for product labels, giveaways and laptop or bottle branding. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe checks the cut line on every proof.
Die-cut stickers are cut right through the vinyl and backing to the exact outline of the design, so each sticker is a separate custom shape. They are popular for logos, mascots and brand icons, where a square or round sticker would look generic.
A good die-cut sticker has a smooth cut line with a small border around the artwork, so there are no thin, fragile points that tear when peeled. Kiss-cut stickers are cut only through the vinyl and stay on a larger backing sheet. Die-cut stickers are fully separated, which makes them ideal for handing out individually.

Supplying measurements
Tell us the size of the sticker at its widest and tallest point and the quantity required. If several shapes are needed, list each one with its own quantity.
Artwork requirements
Send vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) so we can create a cut path around the shape. If you only have a PNG or JPG logo, we can trace it and add a border for clean cutting.
Survey and installation
Die-cut stickers are delivered loose or bundled and are applied by hand. Apply to a clean, dry surface and press firmly from the centre outward.
Maintenance
Keep unused stickers flat and away from heat. Once applied, clean with a soft damp cloth rather than scrubbing the edges.
Frequently asked questions
How detailed can the shape be?
Fine points and narrow gaps can tear. We may suggest a slightly wider border to keep the sticker strong.
What is the difference between die-cut and kiss-cut?
Die-cut stickers are cut through the backing into separate pieces, while kiss-cut stickers stay on a shared sheet.
Can a die-cut sticker be clear?
Yes. Clear vinyl can be used, often with a white layer printed behind the colours so they stay bright.
