Print lamination protects printed graphics from UV, scratches and cleaning. We offer gloss, matt, anti-slip and specialist laminates for signs, vehicles and floors. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe recommends the right laminate for each job.
Print lamination is a clear protective film applied over printed graphics. It protects against scratches, scuffs, UV fading, moisture and cleaning chemicals, and changes the finish to gloss, matt, satin or textured. Lamination is commonly used on vehicle graphics, floor graphics, signs and stickers that are handled.
A good laminate is matched to the print film so they stretch and age together, which matters on vehicles and curves. Floor graphics need anti-slip laminate. Liquid coatings and clear varnishes are alternatives in some cases. Laminated film generally gives more physical protection for high-wear graphics.

Supplying measurements
Tell us the size of the graphics and where they are used. That helps us recommend the right laminate type.
Artwork requirements
No extra artwork is needed. Note that a matt laminate softens colours slightly, while gloss keeps them bright.
Survey and installation
Laminate is applied during production, before graphics are installed. The laminated graphic is then applied in the normal way.
Maintenance
Laminated graphics can be cleaned with mild soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents, even on laminated surfaces.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need lamination?
It is recommended for graphics that are touched, walked on, washed or exposed to strong sun.
Matt or gloss?
Gloss gives stronger colours, while matt reduces reflections and suits signs under bright lights.
Is floor laminate slip resistant?
Floor graphics use a textured anti-slip laminate made for that purpose.
