LCD video walls are a sharp option for showing digital versions of your printed promotions up close. We advise on panel layout and mounting for offices and retail. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe can design content in the same style as your print.
LCD video walls are made from several commercial LCD panels mounted together in a grid to act as one large screen. They are common in reception areas, boardrooms, control rooms, retail stores and showrooms where a large, sharp display is needed for people standing quite close.
Good LCD video walls use panels made for continuous commercial use with ultra-narrow bezels, precise mounting brackets that keep the panels aligned, and a controller or player that spreads content across the wall. Compared with LED walls, LCD gives very sharp images up close at a lower cost for smaller sizes, but the thin lines between panels remain visible, so it suits data, presentations and video where that is acceptable.

Supplying measurements
Measure the wall area and tell us how close viewers will be and how many hours per day the wall will run. Photos showing power, data points and wall construction are helpful.
Artwork requirements
Content is created for the combined resolution of the grid, for example a 2x2 or 3x3 layout. We confirm the exact resolution and recommend keeping text away from bezel lines where possible.
Survey and installation
The wall must carry the weight of the panels and brackets, with structural checks or engineering input where required. Power and data cabling are installed by a qualified electrician, and a site visit may be needed before a formal quotation.
Maintenance
Clean screens with a microfibre cloth and a screen-safe cleaner sprayed on the cloth, not the panel. Allow ventilation around the panels and run regular colour calibration if the image becomes uneven.
Frequently asked questions
Can the lines between panels be hidden?
They can be minimised with narrow-bezel panels but not removed completely.
Can we use normal TVs?
Consumer TVs are not designed for continuous use or tight alignment; commercial panels are recommended.
Can one panel be replaced if it fails?
Yes, individual panels can be swapped, ideally with the same model to keep the image consistent.
