Company plaques can be engraved, etched or UV-printed for a sharp, permanent finish. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe produces plaques in brass, stainless steel, aluminium and acrylic. Matching certificates and presentation folders can be printed too.

A company plaque is a permanent nameplate that identifies a business at its entrance, reception or boardroom. It usually carries the company name and logo, and sometimes a registration number, directors’ names or the departments in the building. Plaques sit at eye level, so people read them close up and the finish matters more than it does on a large sign.

A good company plaque uses a material that matches the building, has crisp engraving or print that stays legible, and is fixed so it cannot be prised off easily. Unlike a reception sign, which is a larger display piece with raised lettering, a plaque is compact and flat. It suits listing the details formally at a door or gate.

  • Registered office details for legal display
  • Tenant plaques in shared office buildings

Supplying measurements

Measure the wall or panel space available and note any doorframes, intercoms or light switches nearby. A photo of the spot taken straight on, with a tape measure in view, helps us suggest a size that looks right.

Artwork requirements

Send your logo as a vector file (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG) with fonts outlined, plus the exact wording you want. If you only have a JPG of your logo, we can redraw it so it engraves cleanly.

Survey and installation

Most company plaques are fixed with concealed screws, stand-off locators or a strong adhesive, depending on the wall surface. Face-brick, cladding and glass each need a different fixing, so tell us what the plaque is going onto.

Maintenance

Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water and avoid abrasive cleaners that scratch brushed finishes. Brass may need an occasional suitable metal polish if the lacquer wears.

Frequently asked questions

Can a plaque list several companies in one building?

Yes. A tenant plaque can be made with fixed names, or with slide-in strips so names can be changed when tenants move.

Is engraving better than printing?

Engraving is cut into the material and lasts longer outdoors, while printing allows full-colour logos. The choice depends on the logo and where the plaque will hang.

Can you match an existing plaque?

Send a photo and the size of the existing plaque and we will match the material, font and layout as closely as possible.
