Commemorative plaques are made to last, using engraved or etched metal. We produce commemorative plaques for donors, anniversaries and milestones. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe can print commemorative booklets or certificates to match.
A commemorative plaque marks a milestone, an achievement or an important event, such as a company anniversary, a donor contribution or a building’s history. They are found in lobbies, on heritage buildings, in gardens and on donor walls, where people stop to read them.
Good commemorative plaques have a long life because they are meant to be permanent. They use durable material, deep or well-protected lettering and a layout that suits the tone of the occasion. Opening plaques are linked to one launch date. Commemorative plaques can mark anything worth remembering, and are often made as part of a series, such as annual awards or a donor wall.

Supplying measurements
Send the dimensions of the space and a photo of the wall, plinth or garden spot. For a series, tell us how many plaques you expect over time so the layout leaves room for more.
Artwork requirements
Provide the final text and any crests or logos as vector files (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG). Historical text and photos can be included, and we will advise whether a photo will reproduce well on the chosen material.
Survey and installation
Indoor plaques are usually wall-mounted with concealed fixings. Outdoor plaques on stone or plinths need anchors and adhesive suitable for weather and tampering.
Maintenance
Dust regularly and clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals on lacquered brass, as they strip the protective coat.
Frequently asked questions
Can we add names to a donor wall later?
Yes. Plan it as a modular system so new plates can be added in the same style.
Will brass tarnish outside?
Uncoated brass darkens with time. A lacquer slows this, or you can choose stainless steel for less upkeep.
Can a photo be put on a plaque?
Photos can be printed or etched, depending on the material. We will confirm what detail is achievable.
