School name letters can be painted or faced with printed vinyl to match the school crest. We produce letters in aluminium, acrylic or stainless steel. Boldmedia Print Zimbabwe can also print school banners and stationery.
School name letters are individual built-up or cut letters fixed directly to a building, wall or entrance feature to spell out the school’s name. They give a clean, permanent look compared with a flat panel and are often used on the main building, hall or along the boundary wall.
Good school letters are sized for the distance they will be read from, made from materials that resist weather and tampering, and fixed securely with pins or studs. Compared with a printed panel, 3D letters look more prestigious and age well, but they take longer to make and the crest is usually produced as a separate cut or printed element.

Supplying measurements
Measure the width and height of the wall area for the letters and the height above ground. Send a straight-on photo of the wall and a closer photo showing the surface (brick, plaster, cladding).
Artwork requirements
Send the name and crest as vector artwork with fonts outlined, or tell us the font to use. We provide a scaled visual on a photo of your building for approval.
Survey and installation
Letters are fixed with studs or pins using a template, which depends on the wall surface and height. Work at height may need a site survey before a formal quotation, and illuminated letters are connected by a qualified electrician.
Maintenance
Rinse letters periodically to remove dust and bird droppings. Check that all letters remain firmly fixed, especially those within reach of learners.
Frequently asked questions

Can we add the crest?
Yes, as a cut-out shape or printed plaque beside the letters.
Can letters be fixed to face brick?
Yes, with suitable fixings drilled into the mortar or brick.
